Sustainable business practices are more important today than ever before. FDM Print Group is well aware of this. The group has been implementing sustainable initiatives for some time now. However, these efforts gained significant momentum in 2020 thanks to the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Business. As a single, collaborative team, we are therefore very proud to share our best practices with you.
Sustainability is the future
Sustainability is also a frequently discussed topic in the Print & Sign sector. FDM Print Group has been putting this into practice for several years now. In 2020, the group proudly became a signatory to the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship. This participation gave its sustainability initiatives a significant boost.
Winner of the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship, 2020–2021 Cycle!
On May 6, 2021, it was unanimously decided that the actions taken by FDM Print Group in 2020 would be recognized with the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship. We are therefore proud to announce that we have been successful and may officially call ourselves a Laureate.
PVC-free materials throughout the entire production process
The most impressive initiative of 2020 is the use of PVC-free materials throughout the entire production process. FDM Print Group is one of the few companies that allows you (via thereclameonline.be online store) to choose PVC-free materials for flags, banners, panels, stickers, displays, and more. Standard raw materials are being replaced with sustainable solutions (PVC-free, recycled cardboard, polyester, etc.). These eco-friendly alternatives can also be selected for custom advertising through Publi-FDM and on the international online store (Printingstore.eu).
To complement this initiative, solar panels were installed to supply green electricity to the entire production process. The amount of this electricity, where it is used, and for what purposes can also be tracked via an app. The use of sustainable alternatives, combined with green electricity, ensures that the printing process is 100% sustainable.
2020 was just the beginning
For FDM Print Group, joining the charter is just the beginning of its sustainability journey. The group brainstorms daily on how to make its production even more sustainable and how it can contribute to all the SDGs.
We are very excited to strengthen the sustainability narrative within FDM Print Group. Our plans for 2021 are already on the table, and we can’t wait to flesh them out further.
